Complex monitoring of Kamchatkan and Northern Kuriles in cooperation of the scientists of Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, Kamchatkan Branch of Geophysical Survey and Alaska Volcano Observatory was carried out in KVERT project during 2006. Volcano monitoring includes the analysis of the seismic activity of the volcanoes, visual observations of volcanic processes nearby of volcanoes and by web-cameras (Klyuchevskoy, Sheveluch, Bezymianny), field works in areas of active volcanoes for research erupted products and processes before and during its eruptions, satellite information processing for the detection of thermal anomalies, ash and gas-steam plumes. Explosive eruptions of three volcanoes (Sheveluch, Bezymianny and Karymsky) occurred during 2006; also Klyuchevskoy, Avachinsky, Mutnovsky, Gorely volcanoes at Kamchatka and Ebeko volcano at Northern Kuriles were in the state of increased fumarolic activity.
