Crater of Taunshits volcano (East Kamchatka volcanic zone) was formed in first half of Holocene (8500 years ago). Later crater was filled by glacier with 8, 9 km2 area; low bound was at 1100-1150 m altitude. Volcanic activity of Taunshits 2400 years ago and global warming resulted in a decrease et the glacier area. At present time the glacier area is 0, 3 km2. Altitude range is 1700-2270 m. Feeding line ELA is at 2050 altitude. The glacier contraction within the last 25 years of the second millennium was 150 m.
