In 2006 during our study of the seismic paleo-rupture at the Poperechnaya river area, together with paleoseismilogical methods we use GPR (ground penetration radar). This technique helps us estimate the amplitude of displacement, which was the same with amplitude estimated from paleoseismological data. Also GPR give us possibility to trace the top of fluvial-glacial deposits and get information about fault-plane dip angle up to the 24 m depth, which is significant for the focal mechanism understanding.
