We studied the space distribution of weak Kamchatkan “energy class magnitude” KS=8-10 earthquakes. Cross sections plotted on 17 cross and 5 lateral sectors provide concentration of the earthquake energy located in Kamchatkan seismo-focal zone. The results of this study support existing of a double seismo-focal layer beneath Kamchatka and explain this phenomenon in terms of tectonics of lithosphere plates.
